Surf conditions at 6.40 a.m. on Monday 1st July 2013:
That grey cloud cover is still grimly clinging on to us here, the sight of sunshine being reserved for Glasto, Wimbledon or Silverstone on the TV screen. It is trying to brighten though!
The wind is light and from the west, pretty much direct west right now. And so the two to three feet of surf is pretty sloppy again, a bit wishy washy, a bit bouncy.
It is all forecast to improve through the day, the swell strengthening rather then getting that much bigger, the wind easing rather than changing direction, the sky clearing, a bit.
Still, a couple of feet of mushy surf on a mild and dry day, there are worse ways to start a week!
