Calm Offshore wind
Surf conditions at 6.25 a.m. on Wednesday 9th July 2013:
It's another warm and wonderful, bright and sunshiny day but the swell has all but disappeared.
That glassy and enchanting sea is still inviting though, a very occasional set wedging across the back of the Reef, knee to hip high every quarter of an hour or so, one foot peelers zipping into the rip.
There's one out over on the Point getting the odd glider and a couple of first timers on the Peak finding some fun.
There will be some rides to be had on a longboard, gliding across those super smooth walls of glass but you're going to have to wait for them and catch the tide just as it hits the shallower banks, the deeper gullies are going to flatten it.
If you have the time and the right board then you will doubtless have some surfy fun. Now where's that SUP?
