Calm Cross-Shore wind
Surf conditions at 6.40 a.m. on Monday 15th July 2013:
Oh! There's a bit of cloud out there this morning.
It's still bright and dry and very, very warm but not the sun drenched paradisical view of the last week or three .
The surf is still pretty much flat though. There's a little more ripple action alongside the sand than I've seen for a couple of days but it's still ankle high at best.
How clear is the water right now! There are stunning views in the deep when paddling off the reefs and around the points. It could be worth grabbing a mask and snorkel and having a little swim about during this (hopefully short-lived) flat spell!
And just to confirm what we already knew, this is from the Met office:
The current 2013 UK maximum temperature was recorded on Saturday 13 July, with 31.4 C at Heathrow. Wales saw its highest 2013 temperature with 30.2 C at Llysdinam on the same day. The highest temperature for Northern Ireland was on Monday 8 July with 29.9 C at Edenfel, County Tyrone. Scotland saw its highest 2013 temperature on Tuesday 9 July, with 28.7 C at Strathallen Airfield. Issued at 1907 on Sun 14 Jul 2013.
