Light Cross-Shore wind
Surf conditions at 6.10 a.m. on Thursday 25th July 2013:
Last night's steady downpour seems to have run its course, it's a mild and so far pleasant morning, the ground wet, the air dry, so far.
And the surf is looking fun a couple of hours ahead of high tide, a bit of a warpy bump on those two to three foot wave faces, put there by a light southerly wind but it's not too bad, just a little bumpy on the odd one!
This week's big tides are having their effect on the surf, you have to pick your time to get the best out of it and today will be the same. Just as quickly as the tide puts those swells on a sweet and shallow sandbar, it will pull and tug it into deeper water making for something a bit fatter and lazier. But with just a little planning and watching we should be able to have a fun few hours in some decent breaking and big enough waves.
With only a week of voting left, Rhys (Barfield) is real close to qualifying in the Quikky King of the Groms 2013 comp (#kotg13) so he really does need your vote on his vid to get to the finals!
And don't forget Max (Payne) either!
The boys are real close to qualifying, so get on on over to quiksilverlive.com/kotg/2013/home,vote,289.en.html and vote for Rhys and Max.
There's only a few go through, and they are both sooo close!
