Surf conditions at 6.20 a.m. on Friday 26th July 2013:
It's another bright and pleasant day again, the breeze light and fresh, gently blowing offshore against a couple of feet of crystal blue swell.
Yep, it looks like fun, a bit smaller than you might choose but a bit bigger than it has been. And that bright blue and sunny sky always helps!
The tides are gradually shrinking back but it is still a seven and a half metre one in a few hours, so you have to think that this might be the best of the surf this morning.
Three guys are out, spreading themselves across the bay, the Peak working as well as a few coming in off the Point and there's one or two turning up for a look-see. So, I guess that it might get a little busy later.
I'm guessing that those sea breezes will strengthen through early afternoon, onshores making things a bit lumpy.
But, other than that, it's looking like a fine 'n dandy day to ride a few waves!
With only a few days of voting left, Rhys (Barfield) is real close to qualifying in the Quiksilver King of the Groms 2013 comp (#kotg13) so he really does need your vote on his vid to get to the finals!
And don't forget Max (Payne) either!
The boys are real close to qualifying, so get on on over to quiksilverlive.com/kotg/2013/home,vote,289.en.html and vote for Rhys and Max.
There's only a few go through, and they are both sooo close!
