Surf conditions at 5.55 a.m. on Thursday 1st August 2013:
It's a totally different start to the day today!
The early morning low cloud cover is already burning off, the lightest of offshore breezes gently moving that leaden sky aside, allowing a big fat sun to gradually peep through.
The surf is looking pretty okay too. Three to maybe four feet of glassy waves are leaping ashore, a bit fat at this stage of the tide (a couple of hours off low) but showing a lot of promise.
It's nice to have the whole bay to myself again this morning too but considering that August is now upon us, where is everybody? Especially after last weekend's crush! So, with all of those promises for a one day heatwave, today is looking like it could just be one of 'those' days, one to savour for a while!
Wax 'em up and paddle 'em out, you should find a pretty fun wave wherever you look!
And if you're struggling to find something that you want to ride out there today, don't forget that we are clearing a bit of space on our rails for that delivery of Al Merrick and Lost boards! Drop in on us for a bargain, or just drop in on BRAvery for fun, he loves it!
