Surf conditions at 6.35 a.m. on Friday 16th August 2013:
There is more wave action out there than there has been for a while, in amongst the gloom and murk of a bleak early morning.
Yep, it's a bit of a shocker this morning but strangely cosy too.
The wind is light, onshore, north westerly and just strong enough to junk the surf.
There are bigger waves than we've seen for a while, three feet, maybe just occasionally four and they are all a bit on top of each other, a bit bumpy and lumpy too but at least they're surfable!
And this weather will clear up soon enough.
The lunchtime high tide should be a very different affair. I'm guessing that it will be bright 'n breezy by then with a decent, bumpy surf to be had along with some cheerful sunshine too.
Yep, a day of two halves!
And the B'Bong Pro Tahiti is on!
