Surf conditions at 6.30 a.m. on Tuesday 27th August 2013:
It's a still and silent morning this morning, grey low level cloud clinging to the sky above, muffling the birdsong.
The surf is okay, a couple of feet of glassy surf lazily rolling in, the odd three footer very occasionally peaking at the usual spots and walling into rippable screamers.
There is no wind at all yet, a northerly, or probably north westerly breeze forecast for alter. And it should brighten up eventually but I don't think that we will see the bright cheerfulness of yesterday. Not today.
But a couple of feet of clean and glassy surf will do fine although you'd better get on it pretty smartish to catch the glass, there will be enough wind to make it bumpier later!
