Surf conditions at 6.05 a.m. on Wednesday 28th August 2013:
It's a dull and dreary, cloudy and threatening early morning this morning, that low cloud cover blending into the grey and bumpy sea.
The breeze is light, gently blowing from the north or north west, normally a direction that makes for a chillier feeling but it is a pretty warm start to today, the thermometer resting at 16 deg C right now.
The surf is small, a foot or two but quite cleanish, the sideshore breeze light enough to not have too much of an effect although further out you can see that the surface is a bit more bumpy. But right now there's a cleanish, if a little dribbly one to two feet of surf rolling into the bay.
The forecast is for brighter weather by lunchtime, the surf staying small but also staying (just about) rideable, the wind staying light, maybe swinging more onshore later.
So, all in all an okay day lies ahead, with the chance of improving a lot as we go along. One to two feet of fun-in-the-sun for later!
