Light Cross-Shore wind
Surf conditions at 6.20 a.m. on Saturday 31st August 2013:
Oooh, that looks more like Autumn and that wind has a bit of a bite to it as well!
But the thermometer is showing 15 deg C and you can see some brightness over there, so it's just the early morning chill that seems to be creeping in, I'm sure that it will be another bright and pleasant day soon enough!
The surf is a good couple of feet, the wind quite fresh and northerly (hence that chill bite to it!), making a bit of chop as it blows into the lefts.
There is the odd three footer lumbering in but you do have to wait for them, while those smaller ones steadily roll through, walling northwards, clean faces ready to reflect the sun, the grey sea surface a bit choppy and reflecting only the grey sky.
Give it an hour or two and it should be a different world down here.
Yep, I reckon that we will be able to enjoy a full and fun day of two to three feet of reasonably clean surf under fairly clear skies soon enough!
And we have finally received that shipment of surfboards from Channel Islands and...Lost!
Check the pics below for some happy smiley faces of those who've already grabbed their new sticks!
So, now we are ready for those September swells!
With a massive choice of deck grip, a host of FCS, Futures and Captain Fin Co. fins, a huge selection of leashes along with all those other bits 'n bobs that help to improve those surf sessions, it should very well be worth a drop-in for a look-see if you're around this way!
