Surf conditions at 6.25 a.m. on Thursday 5th September 2013:
It's always good to see nice and clean, open lines of waves there to greet me in the morning!
With low level mist clinging to the fields and snuggling alongside the hedgerows and the clouds lazily peeling back to reveal a much brighter and bluer sky, it is a very pleasant morning indeed!
There's a nice space between those two to three feet waves, a large gap between sets allowing plenty of paddling time. And its those sets that are worth waiting for. Big enough to let rip on, maybe just a little bit bigger than the last couple of days.
The air is still, allowing those waves to peak and peel in their own time, the early morning chill hinting of Autumn but that water temperature warm and welcoming.
Yep, it's looking good, not hollow or grinding or anything near that but glassy and lazy and peeling.
And that will do nicely!
Don't you just love those September sessions!?
And we're ready for them.
As well as a new delivery of Xcel winter suits, we have finally received our shipment of surfboards from Channel Islands and...Lost!
Check the pics below for some happy smiley faces of those who've already grabbed their new sticks!
With a massive choice of deck grip, a host of FCS, Futures and Captain Fin Co. fins, a huge selection of leashes along with all those other bits 'n bobs that help to improve those surf sessions, it should very well be worth a drop-in for a look-see if you're around this way!
