Surf conditions at 6.45 a.m. on Monday 9th September 2013:
Well, that's okay!
Two to three to four feet of peaking waves are rolling through and into the bay this morning, a scenic backdrop of dark and swirling clouds, highlighted by a brightening sunrise. The sea surface is reflecting it all, a surface of broken glass but those waves faces all smooth and rolling over.
It's fat and lazy looking on the Reef but that peak over by the Point is curling through. Half a dozen are out already and grabbing a few of those fast moving shoulders that are turning into smooth, glass walls.
The waves are close together, it's going to be a paddle and the breeze is light, offshore right now. That will doubtless change but the wind shouldn't strengthen too much.
Yep, it's all looking good and the sunshine is likely to brighten it up later too!
As well as a new delivery of Xcel winter suits the other day, we have finally received our shipment of surfboards from Channel Islands and...Lost!
Check the pics below for some happy smiley faces of those who've already grabbed their new sticks!
With a massive choice of deck grip, a host of FCS, Futures and Captain Fin Co. fins, a huge selection of leashes along with all those other bits 'n bobs that help to improve those surf sessions, it should very well be worth a drop-in for a look-see if you're around this way!
