Medium Cross-Shore wind
Surf conditions at 6.40 a.m. on Tuesday 10th September 2013:
These mornings are telling a story all of their own and it's all about the change in season. It really is chilly in that wind this morning!
Yep, there's a fresh northerly wind whipping across the bay this morning, stirring the sea's surface but smoothing the lefthand peaks that are rolling into the middle towards the Point.
There's a surprisingly decent two to maybe three feet of surf rolling ashore this morning, missing the Reef again but creating some pleasant looking peaks in the bay. With another couple of hours before high tide, I guess that it should get a little better, although the dropping tide will also reflect a dropping swell too for later, maybe.
And it looks as though we'll be enjoying the same old mixed weather today, mainly bright and dry but with those clouds just over there full of the threat of heavy showers.
So, a couple to three feet with a brisk northerly in that lovely warm water? That'll do!
At this time of year boxes of winter stock arrive at the store full of Winter warmers; thick but these days still supple and very technical wetsuits to keep that chill away during those winter sessions, warming clothes to slip into afterwards and, perhaps finest of all, a rack of beautifully crafted surfboards.
As well as a new delivery of Xcel winter suits the other day, we have finally received our shipment of surfboards from Channel Islands and...Lost! And those boards are all that we hoped for!
Along with a range of FCS, Futures and Captain Fin Co. fins, a big bundle of deck grips from Gorilla, O &E, Kommunity Project and others, a wide range of leashes and, of course a variety of softer waxes, I think that we have all of your surfing requirements covered!
And with those furry lined shoes from Reef and jackets, hats and other stuff from Brixton Mfg and Captain Fin Co as well as our own logo'd hoodies, there's no reason to shiver after those lonelier Autumn sessions!
So drop in on us if you're around this way and see what you think!
