Surf conditions at 6.45 a.m. on Friday 13th September 2013:
It's yet another mizzly, drizzly and grizzly morning, that dull cloud cover not budging and leaking steady wetness everywhere.
The wind is fairly light, just strong enough to mush out the one to two feet of weak and sloppy surf.
But keep your eye on it today! We could just see an opening up of that swell period. So, while it probably might not increase in size much, if at ll, we could just see some shape and more solidness to it. And watch around lunchtime too, that breeze is likely to keep dropping and could just swing offshore around high tide!
But right now, it is junk with no reason to brave the outdoors this morning.
Other than to work or whatever.
'Voyager'! How about that!
Going, going, gone... to two hundred billion stars away. Astral surfing to another galaxy.... and beyond!
Closer to home, at this time of year boxes of winter stock arrive at the store full of Winter warmers; thick but these days still supple and very technical wetsuits to keep that chill away during those winter sessions, warming clothes to slip into afterwards and, perhaps finest of all, a rack of beautifully crafted surfboards.
As well as a new delivery of Xcel winter suits the other day, we have finally received our shipment of surfboards from Channel Islands and...Lost! And those boards are all that we hoped for!
Along with a range of FCS, Futures and Captain Fin Co. fins, a big bundle of deck grips from Gorilla, O &E, Kommunity Project and others, a wide range of leashes and, of course a variety of softer waxes, I think that we have all of your surfing requirements covered!
And with those furry lined shoes from Reef and jackets, hats and other stuff fromBrixton Mfg and Captain Fin Co as well as our own logo'd hoodies, there's no reason to shiver after those lonelier Autumn sessions!
So drop in on us if you're around this way and see what you think!
