Surf conditions at 6.45 a.m. on Saturday 14th September 2013:
It's a drier and calmer one than the last few days and the swell has opened out a little, distinct lines of waves rolling shorewards.
It is drier but that sky is still a little moody looking, still a bit cloud packed, while the wind still has a little nip to it, shuffling in from the north nor' west but not affecting the waves that much, yet!
So it's a couple to three feet, the surface of the sea a bit ruffled but the wave faces clean, especially those lefthanders.
With just a bit of luck it should all improve as the tide rises through this morning, the wind easing a little and the sun burning through eventually.
Yep, it could just be fun later!
At this time of year boxes of winter stock arrive at the store full of Winter warmers; thick but these days still supple and very technical wetsuits to keep that chill away during those winter sessions, warming clothes to slip into afterwards and, perhaps finest of all, a rack of beautifully crafted surfboards.
As well as a new delivery of Xcel winter suits the other day, we have finally received our shipment of surfboards from Channel Islands and...Lost! And those boards are all that we hoped for!
Along with a range of FCS, Futures and Captain Fin Co. fins, a big bundle of deck grips from Gorilla, O &E, Kommunity Project and others, a wide range of leashes and, of course a variety of softer waxes, I think that we have all of your surfing requirements covered!
And with those furry lined shoes from Reef and jackets, hats and other stuff fromBrixton Mfg and Captain Fin Co as well as our own logo'd hoodies, there's no reason to shiver after those lonelier Autumn sessions!
So drop in on us if you're around this way and see what you think!
