Surf conditions at 6.40 a.m. on Sunday 15th September 2013:
That was an impressive sunrise to get the guys going in the Padstow Triathlon over at Harlyn this morning, a fiery lightshow streaking those layers of clouds.
The surf is still quite small this morning, the wind light and from the south west, onshore here. But those little waves are managing to stay quite lined up and while the sea surface is getting bumpy, the wave faces look clean enough.
This is most likely the calm before a bit of a storm, the wind is forecast to strengthen soon enough building to a bit of a roar over the next day or two.
And watch that surf build, probably through this afternoon!
But right now, it's quite calm and pleasant and mild feeling with not much more than a couple of feet of bumpy surf!
At this time of year boxes of winter stock arrive at the store full of Winter warmers; thick but these days still supple and very technical wetsuits to keep that chill away during those winter sessions, warming clothes to slip into afterwards and, perhaps finest of all, a rack of beautifully crafted surfboards.
As well as a new delivery of Xcel winter suits the other day, we have finally received our shipment of surfboards from Channel Islands and...Lost! And those boards are all that we hoped for!
Along with a range of FCS, Futures and Captain Fin Co. fins, a big bundle of deck grips from Gorilla, O &E, Kommunity Project and others, a wide range of leashes and, of course a variety of softer waxes, I think that we have all of your surfing requirements covered!
And with those furry lined shoes from Reef and jackets, hats and other stuff fromBrixton Mfg and Captain Fin Co as well as our own logo'd hoodies, there's no reason to shiver after those lonelier Autumn sessions!
So drop in on us if you're around this way and see what you think!
