Surf conditions at 7.00 a.m. on Monday 23rd September 2013:
The weather is having a lazy start to today but the surf is pumping!
Okay, the tide is a bit high and so those three to four foot, breeze perfected waves are breaking a bit fat but there is a decent swell and the breeze is offshore and the tide and the weather will sort themselves out in a minute.
Word is out already though, the car park is filling up. And why not, it is pretty good out there!
Three to four foot waves are cresting through, that light wind breezing offshore from the south east, the first decent surf (other than yesterday's loveliness!) unfolding, promising a wave filled day of action ahead.
Right now Hilly is owning the peak off the Rip, there's a pack off the Point but nobody is out off the back of the Reef. That will change soon enough, probably as the tide backs off a little and the sun peeps out!
So, grab yer board and some wax and get on it!
