Calm Offshore wind
Surf conditions at 6.45 a.m. on Thursday 26th September 2013:
It is so quiet around here this morning!
That heavy, heavy sky is creating a comfortable and cosy feeling at the beach this morning, a glimpse of brighter stuff just peeking out over there but otherwise a thick blanket of darkness pushing down.
The surf is tiny but immaculate. One foot waves are occasionally sliding across the sand, almost silent as they peel shoreward.
If only I had the skills and equipment to capture an image!
But it's the other side again for a surf today!
It is a magical moment to be here right now but the surf is pouring through on the other side of the headland, all clean and glassy and peeling and calling to be ridden!
