Surf conditions at 7.05 a.m. on Tuesday 1st October 2013:
Ah, it is nice to be back, even on a rainy Tuesday morning.
The surf is a foot or two, the wind steady and blowing offshore, a mild and wet morning with maybe the promise of a whole heap of better things to come.
The swell lines are smooth and even, small but showing signs of something more behind it.
Right now there's small but immaculately shaped surf rolling off the Reef and peeling forever. A quick scan of the weather sites shows that there should be a solid pulse of swell aiming our way, probably showing itself more as the tide turns in a couple of hours and then building with that tide. It could be a different world by this afternoon with three feet plus, clean and flowing waves expected!
And while we wait for that, it could be worth a check over at quiksilverlive.com/profrance/2013 to see if the Quikky Pro gets running again. The groms are scheduled for this afternoon and that is always entertaining!
