Surf conditions at 10.35 a.m. on Friday 4th October 2013:
It's 'all change' today, the wind has changed, the swell has changed and the sky has changed too.
Sorry for the late Surf Report, had a quick detour to Truro with Bryn first thing.
But don't worry, you haven't missed much.
The surf is a foot or two, the wind fairly fresh and onshore (well, side to onshore), so after the last week or two of super clean conditions it does look a bit messy.
So there's a couple of feet of fairly sloppy surf to ride and I guess that will improve just a little on this afternoon's tide under a bright and brightening sky. Even though it is brighter, it does feel just a fraction fresher, that high pressure is moving away!
Those September swells were making up for a slow start (even if it is October!) with some stoking waves gliding through this last week or two! And how warm is that water! It is a bit strange getting winter wetsuit deliveries at the shop when that water temperature is nudging around the top teens! But I guess that it won't be long before those temperatures gradually drop and that thick and warm winter wetsuit becomes your newest and snuggliest, bestest best friend!
And this season's suits, with their hydrophobic outers and wicking linings, air bubble neoprene and super stretchy materials are pretty awesome! Drop in on us for a gander if you're around the area this weekend!
Meanwhile in between surfs we can watch all the action at the Quiksilver Pro in France at quiksilverlive.com/profrance/2013/live.en.html
