Surf conditions at 7.35 a.m. on Tuesday 15th October 2013:
Wow, that was a pretty special sunrise this morning!
It was a 'think of a colour and throw it out there' kind of sunrise, an explosion of light bursting over the horizon.
And the surf is not bad either, small but beautifully shaped.
A foot or two of super clean and glassy, walling little waves are zipping across the bay, the breeze light and gently breathing offshore.
It is looking like a very promising day that is waiting for us to explore, it's a shame that the surf is so small but that could change this afternoon or by this evening anyway!
In the meantime let's go gliding on those mini beauties!
The Rip Curl Pro is stuttering along down in Peniche, Portugal. With Slater now out, Mr Fanning could just take the World Title by winning this thing. But there are one or two obstacles in his way yet!
