Strong Cross-Shore wind
Surf conditions at 7.20 a.m. on Monday 21st October 2013:
It's a grey and blowy one this morning but mild too.
There's a southerly wind blasting across the bay as the darkness of a stormy night is gradually brightened by a very reluctant dawn. That cloud filled sky is shaking some heavy rain showers from itself, pressure washing the beach and sand blasting the woodwork as a three to four foot swell bounces merrily shoreward, spinning some inside out barrels onto dry sand.
The sea is looking dark, cold and unfriendly, even though we know that it is actually really very warm when you're in there and I guess that you would find more fun waves than you'd expect!
But it is mixed up, bouncy and choppy, the set waves big enough to be biggish, the inbetween ones just okay.
Let's have a look over at Harlyn........
