Strong Onshore wind
Surf conditions at 6.55 a.m. on Monday 28th October 2013:
Well, we escaped the biblical tempest but it is still a bit windy out there!
The peak of the storm passed overnight, maybe it wasn't so bad or maybe I just slept through it but the surf has already eased off after last night's thunderous booming when that wind suddenly dropped to stillness.
This morning there is just a windswept mess of rolling waves out in the bay. The size is pretty much irrelevant, it is such a swirling mix up of broken waves and strong rips, 'there be devils out there' this morning!
So the wind is now less than gale force, west sou' westerly, forecast to slip more northerly and that will cause a chill.
It's a great morning for seascape artists but we're not going to be surfing here today, that's for sure!
