8ft Light Cross-Shore wind * *
Surf conditions at 7.20 a.m. on Friday 1st November 2013: Whew, that swell is oomphing through this morning! Solid waves are growling over the Slab and bouncing up in front of the Point, grey and thick and turning themselves inside out across the bay. The wind is light blowing from almost direct south, a little gust from the south east now and again, suggesting that it is gradually going to settle into that direction. So, right now those waves are standing tall, occasionally warping hollow and occasionally bumping into fatness, all under a grey and uninspiring sky. It is going to be a sore arm paddle and it's looking rippy out there too but give it a couple of hours and it might just smooth itself out. The forecasts are showing south easterly (offshore) winds and continuing swell! Good luck to the guys down in Newquay for the Posca British National Championships, kicking off right about now at Fistral! It should be good down there this morning!
