Calm Cross-Shore wind
Surf conditions at 7.15 a.m. on Wednesday 13th November 2013:
There's surprisingly little swell getting in here this morning but that is probably just the tide, it's just off low right now and so I'd guess that it should become just a bit bigger as the tide fills in. It does have that look about it.
But right now there's only a foot or two of warpy looking waves rolling in, they're glassy but not very smooth as if a rip was running across the shallows, bigger off the Rock, as you'd expect but pretty much flat further along.
Lines are showing but I think that they are swinging too wide, indicating that even if it does build with the tide later on there will still be a wait for the best waves.
So right now it's better over the other side with a bit of a paddle but with some clean walls to ride although it could get much better here later this morning.
It's worth keeping an eye on!
