Surf conditions at 7.15 a.m. on Sunday 17th November 2013:
It's a still, clam and pleasant morning, dull and overcast but no worse for that.
The wind is almost non-existent, what little breeze there is blowing gently offshore while the swell continues to roll in waves of glass.
It's about three feet, bigger on those inconsistent sets.
Right now the tide is a bit weird, half way to nowhere on the drop. And so some of those waves are walling long but shutting down real quick. The odd one is peeling and that should happen more often as the tide sorts itself out. There's the odd long 'n peeling one sliding off the Point too.
Yep, it looks like we're in for a day of clean and fun surf, three feet and glassy, going a little more offshore. But there's no rush, it should be fine all day!
And with some cold weather aiming our way for next week, now might be the time to consider upgrading your winter wetsuit or getting your first one? We have the complete range of this season's Xcel and O'Neill winter suits on the rails, so if you're around this way this weekend, why not drop in on us for a look-see!
Have a little look at this from Sharpy, a few Winter rules at surfm.ag/2013/11/14/winter-rules
And if you are traveling our way this weekend, you can stop off for some great refreshment at Strong Adolfo's on the Atlantic Highway, just this side of Wadebridge.
I haven't managed to get in there yet but all the guys are frothing over it. Great coffee, great food, great breakfasts, a great place. I might have to start opening later soon to give me a chance to try it out myself!
