Strong Cross-Shore wind
Surf conditions at 7.50 a.m. on Thursday 21st November 2013:
The wind has eased up maybe by a fraction so far but it is still hurling itself across the bay this morning, a vicious, biting cold wind, blasting into the lefts that are rolling through.
Yep, it's another grey and windy, cold start to the day. But all the forecasting sites are showing that the wind strength is going to drop through the morning while the direction slips ever so gradually offshore. It could just be a different world by this afternoon, a brighter world with lighter offshore winds and curling swells.
If you believe the forecasters!
But it should happen.
The wind is blowing into the lefts now, a direct northerly wind, way too strong to let you near those waves just yet but give it a few hours.
And once that sun comes out, probably not until mid-afternoon maybe, then it really should feel like a different place!
With some cold weather aiming our way soon, now might be the time to consider upgrading your winter wetsuit or getting your first one? We have the complete range of this season's Xcel and O'Neill winter suits on the rails, so if you're around this way this weekend, why not drop in on us for a look-see!
