Surf conditions at 8.10 a.m. on Friday 22nd November 2013:
It's a beautiful, crystal clear, sharp and frosty morning this morning, one of those special late Autumn ones.
It's chilly here but not as chilly as it is on Bodmin Moor (just had a quick trip out there this morning already), where the thermometer was showing -4 deg C, making it positively springlike here where it's a balmy + 2 deg C!
And the surf is cracking!
With barely a breeze wafting offshore those clean and sparkling waves are whip-cracking across the Reef at just about high tide, another peak peeling across from the Point.
One in already, Cheyne and Hilly loitering ready to pounce as the tide eases itself out. Yep, it's looking good with a decent two to three feet of spilling tubes, bigger on those patiently awaited sets.
And it should be good all day! With light offshores forecast and a wide and clear sky, a steady and rhythmic little swell pulsing through and not that many people around, it is indeed looking like one of those days!
Speaking of Hilly, big congrats to him on taking the 2012-2013 DK Bodyboard English National title! He just got the news this morning.
I'm out of here for a few days and so there's No Surf Report until sometime next week.
Cheyne is running the shop and might update our Facebook, Twitter and Instie pages (what? You're not following and friending us on social media? Try constantinesurf). His WWW.THEBEACHLIFE.CO.UK site usually has daily images of the area as well and i'm sure that he'll have the kettle on if you drop in on hime sometime this weekend!
And with this cold weather arriving, now might be the time to consider upgrading your winter wetsuit or getting your first one? We have the complete range of this season's Xcel and O'Neill winter suits on the rails, so if you're around this way this weekend, why not drop in on us for a look-see!
Have a great weekend and enjoy this clean and sparkling surf!
