Surf conditions at 7.20 a.m. on Thursday 28th November 2013:
It's another calm and broody but peaceful morning featuring maybe not the complete fifty shades of grey but not far off it!
The sky, the sea, the sand are all merging together in the half light, separated only by the white lines of broken waves, ruler like and spot-lit by the one half powered beam of a solitary fishing boat's work-light. And he squeezed himself around the headland on the inside of Bull Rock. Not an easy manoeuvre, whatever the conditions!
The surf is pretty nice looking, lazy glass reelers peeling off from the back of the Reef, another peak leaping in front of the Point, all of it a couple of very glassy feet, those three footers only occasionally cresting through.
It's pretty much bang on low tide right now and so you have to think that it's only going to get better as the tide saunters up the beach, as long as that wind stays kind! The forecast? Light, light offshores!
Have a good day!
