Surf conditions at 7.40 a.m. on Monday 2nd December 2013:
It's another still and calm morning but way brighter than it has been.
That silver early morning light is giving way to something much lighter, the still air gently wafting offshore. Which is good news for those small but immaculately shaped little waves that are breaking!
There's only a foot or two of swell but it is a perfectly shaped foot or two with evenly spaced, wide lines of glassy walls gliding onto the Point and the Reef. Booby's has a perfectly shaped little peak that is reeling off across the shore every couple of minutes or so.
Yep, it is only small surf but it is tempting, those glassy walls waiting to be glided across, longboard heaven but just about doable on something shorter if you're keen! The tide is about halfway out on the drop, so you have to think that there might be one or two stronger little waves to ride on the incoming. But otherwise you should at least get a fun plank session in sometime today!
