Light Cross-Shore wind
Surf conditions at 7.45 a.m. on Monday 9th December 2013:
It's a lighter, brighter, calmer, kind of day today!
The wind is from the south, as light as a whisper, gently sideswiping the two feet of rolling and peaking surf. The surf is only small, about two feet but there are those set waves rolling in occasionally at maybe three feet. So, it's looking like fun and it should all improve a little with the tide, while that wind is forecast to slip further and further southwards and then south easterly. Offshore and that will improve things that much again. Yep, it could be even better this afternoon!
And it's that time of year when our nights are stretched out watching the Pipe Masters at vanstriplecrownofsurfing.com/billabongpipemasters2013 and how good was the action last night! Smooth and raw waves reeling and peeling for the first round contestants!
And then there is that showdown to come, Kelly and Mick, the World Chapionship title race going down to the wire.
I'm outta here for a little while as of tomorrow, so no surfcheck for a week or so. Unless Cheyne tweets or FBs some stuff as we go along!
