Surf conditions at 7.55 a.m. on Sunday 29th December 2013:
There's just a little while to go before low water and it's about two to three feet, which bodes well for the incoming tide!
There's one out and one or two waiting, watching that surprisingly bouncy surf. The wind is right; south sou' westerly, pretty much straight offshore here, there are swells getting around the headland, a decent couple to three feet with the occasional bigger one but it is all looking a bit wishy washy and on top of itself, as if it was a really close fetch swell after a storm. But it's not.
I'm guessing that is all a result of the early morning low tide, everything should improve a lot as the tide rises. And with that golden sunburst blasting down the valley behind, it is promising to be great fun in an hour or two !
