Howling Onshore wind
Surf conditions at 7.55 a.m. on Monday 30th December 2013:
MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE & ALL!
It's a wild one this morning, a wet 'n windy day with more mountainous seas spilling ashore.
Actually, given the conditions, the surf isn't that big. Big enough to make it out of the question but relatively tame when compared to the monsters that have been growling along our coast for the last month or so.
Still, it is a good eight to ten feet, all wild and mixed up, those strong (gale to storm force) south westerlies just blasting the swell lines apart.
It will be interesting to see how the surf breaks are once these storms have disappeared, those beaches have taken a battering this last few weeks! I would expect a few sandbars to have been re-modelled once the weather settles!
In the meantime, let's have a little look over at Harlyn and see if that is more manageable.......
