Surf conditions at 6.55 a.m. on Tuesday 4th March 2014:
It's still a little wild and bumpy around here this morning too.
Those waves are rolling right through the bridge again, even though the tide is a good half metre less than the weekend's. But the breeze, light as it is, is gently blowing straight onshore still. And so those four foot waves are bumping through a little randomly with no clear direction in sight, no focal point for them to aim for.
At Harlyn that can sometimes be a good thing, instead of all those straight edge close-outs you can get a fumbling and rumbling one that breaks with some direction. And there are a few of those around this morning.
But it should be way better (if just a little smaller) as that light wind backs around to the south on this afternoon's incoming tide!
