Surf conditions at 6.50 a.m. on Friday 11th April 2014:
It’s quite a cosy morning this morning, a silver grey blanket of cloud snuggling over us, keeping the temperatures mild while muffling the birdsong as a small but pleasantly shaped two feet or so of swell slides into the bay.
The breeze is light, as light as can be really but it is drifting in onshore and so those waves are a little bit crumbly and just a little bumpy with a weak little rip here and there. It is fun looking but a long way from being any better than okay.
The tide is pretty much half way out on the drop and some forecasts are showing that breeze to swing slightly offshore (north easterly) and so you have to think that it might just all improve towards lunchtime and onwards.
But it is okay now, so it looks like we should have at least some fun waves to surf all day, maybe improving through the afternoon a little!
