3ft Medium Cross-Shore wind * * *
Surf conditions at 6.45 a.m. on Monday 14th April 2014: The day is slowly brightening, the bright blue sky gradually filtering through the early morning grey blanket of low cloud. The wind is chilly again, a steady northerly breezing across the bay, blowing into those waves that are breaking to the left, putting a bit of a bump on them but helping them flow too. The surf is an erratic three feet or so with maybe the very occasional slightly bigger one. The sea is a deep blue this morning, the waves breaking to crystal white, those walls in-between dark from their blueness. The tide is on the drop and so the surf is not at its best anyway and the wind isn’t helping. It is fresher than the forecasts were predicting, and maybe a degree or two more westerly at present but it is okay and it should improve. This afternoon could show some really fun surf on the incoming tide under lots of sunshine!
