Howling Onshore wind
Surf conditions at 6.20 a.m. on Saturday 10th May 2014:
Well it was flagged up that today would be a wet ‘n windy one and so it is!
The wind is howling across the headland this morning, tugging and tearing at the hedgerows as well as those waves. There are bright bits up in the sky but the dark bits are more and they’re moving quickly.
And so the surf is a blown out mess of junk waves, a mix of froth and chop that nobody would want to ride, while that wind is strengthening, forecast to hit 60 mph today! That’s not as strong as we enjoyed through Winter but it is strong enough to annoy and irritate if you’re looking to surf somewhere west facing today.
Nah, let’s get the boots on and hike across the headland to have a gander at Harlyn…….
