Surf conditions at 6.15 a.m. on Wednesday 16th July 2014: It’s an overcast one this morning and a little damp around the edges too but otherwise it is a warm and peaceful summer’s morning. The wind is a bit odd, it’s kind of south sou’ westerly but occasionally flicking over to south sou’ easterly but just for moments. And so the surf is quite lined up but a little crumbly too. Two feet with the occasional bigger ones, those crumbly lines are jumping up tall as they hit the shallows, some of them smooth and shining, others a bit fat and slow looking. It’s around half tide, so you have to think that things might just improve a lot with the tide. There are blue gaps up in that sky maybe indicating that t could brighten up, in spite of the forecasts. So, yep, it’s all looking promising for another fun day of surf ahead of us!
