Surf conditions at 5.50 a.m. on Saturday 9th August 2014: Ah, if only! There’s a foot or so of still wishy washy stuff trying to wash ashore around here this morning. The wind must be a little more westerly than expected. That is an hour or two after high tide and so maybe it’s being affected by the dropping tide. Either way, it is likely to build, if only a little, on this afternoon’s incoming tide. And those tides are stretching themselves out which will help too. It could be worth keeping your eyes on here through the day, I wouldn’t be surprised to be surfing a couple of feet of very typical Harlyn surf by this afternoon! But right now there’s nothing happening at all!
