Surf conditions at 6.15 a.m. on Tuesday 12th August 2014: The wind is a little too sideshore here this morning, that gusting westerly putting some surface bounce on those little waves that have made it all the way around the headland to wash in an hour or so ahead of high. But the high tide seems to be spreading itself over a good couple of hours at the moment, the water too deep for too long, taking away the opportunity for those waves to break. It is smaller than I would have expected around here, after seeing those ruling waves on the other side, so I guess that it is just the deepness of the tide that’s taking away from it. Give it a coupe of hours and it should be entirely different, probably a half decent couple to three feet I would guess. Yep, it’s promising to be surf school heaven around here today! And the rest of us should find a couple of fun ones too!
