Apols for late update, been running hither and thither all morning. If you heeded our prediction for today, you'll have been up and riding at the crack of sparrows anyway. It's about three foot and sort-a clean at the moment, with a gentle southerly wind not troubling it too much. There's a few out and it's rideable surf and lookin better than what's forecast over the weekend (more onshores). Be quick though as a new low pressure system looks like it could kick in this arvo and blow it all out once again.
Next week, a bit of swell looks to keep pushing in and at some point the winds we be favourable for some surfable offshore conditions.
Yesterday a crew of kiters were enjoying the pits and steep ledges of overhead Porthleven. It looks like the point break in the estuary up the road from here might be on for the kiters again this weekend. Really, now is the time to learn.
Thanks to Lloydy from Pit Pilot mag for this cool pic of South Fistral today, taken from his sun deck that overlooks the spot. Lucky blighter.
