Today is a perfect example of how MSW forecasts are ahead of the game. I'm talking about the full swell breakdown Tab. Let me just start by saying I'm not talking our swell window up. Up here on the Nth east coast we rely on a sea not an ocean. The Coral Sea I believe. The Pacific ocean is out there but only halfway open for us and needs a true direction to let the breeze in. To sum it up we froth on < 10+ sec periods and any < 15+ sec would be talked about to the grand children. THis is precisely where this MSW tab comes into its own and is such an asset. Heres my theory ; When faced with small swell scenarios 4 - 8 Ft @ 7 - 9 sec ( always - 2 Ft off charts), it pays to monitor both the Dominant AND Primary. If Primary is up inline with Dominant , expect in my very scientific terms the " piggy back " affect ! In short the "others" predicted an average week , even sighting todays eyeballs as nothing special . Thanks to MSW & FSB tab I saw it coming and hit the right magnet . A very productive little swell event today, punchy workable and most importantly heaps of FUN . Ps The pics' not the money shot , the wind came up by the time I went back out with the cam. But you will see a silhouette within the lip of a dude " having fun " ! Took a hundred shots , mayb got one or two only that i can upload sorry guys.
