Surf conditions at 7.20 a.m. on Thursday 15th November 2012:
And it's looking good again!
Following yesterday's wave-packed and sunshiny adventures, the surf is still pumping into the bay this morning! It's a little less consistent but the sets are still standing tall, all glassy and walling and peeling in an explosive sort of way.
Actually, if anything it does look a little better than yesterday, there's more time to paddle about and get in position (and, for some, get their breath back!). Hilly is out enjoying a solo one and catching some some wedgy barrels. It's double overhead to a dropknee booger, so I guess that's four to five to maybe six feet on the sets, the wind is super light and offshore still, a silver sky not promising much in the way of sunshine. Yet.
Yep, it's looking like another cracker, check below for a piccy or two from yesterday's fun-in-the-sun!
I'm bailing for a few days so NO SURF CHECK UNTIL NEXT WEEK! (I'm not quite sure why capitals were used then but I feel better for it!).
The shop will be open through the weekend with Cheyne running the show. So if you want some easy conversation regarding fin setups, tail configurations, the more technical details of those brilliant winter wetsuits or you just simply want to know where the best place to surf is then drop in on him and say hi!
The Triple Crown of Surfing is almost rolling with another lay day to start the Reef Hawaiian Pro at Haleiwa, Oahu, Hawaii. The event is scheduled to run over a twelve day period allowing plenty waiting time for the best conditions. With the world title race coming down to the B'Bong Pipe Masters and Sunny (Garcia) just having won the Vans HIC comp at Sunset showing his desire to take a seventh Triple Crown, the stage is set for some great surfing entertainment leading up to Christmas!
