Surf conditions at 7.20 a.m. on Monday 19th November 2012:
Ooh, it's very nice around here this morning! Very, very nice!
In the gloom and murk of a wet 'n windy Autumn morning that is!
Three feet of setty but squeaky clean surf is pushing it's way in against that south sou' westerly, offshore wind. It's peaky (for Harlyn) and is hollow for its size and it's looking good!
Tide wise, it's probably at its best, a couple of hours ahead of high but there's another kick in the swell due this afternoon and so we might just see it keep to about the same size even on the tidal drop. With these dark evenings and on what looks like it's going to be a dull old day, we're not going to get much chance of being able to surf the incoming tide later this afternoon, we are likely to start losing light any time after three on days like this!
But it could be well worth a look just before darkness.
In the meantime it looks like fun!
