Howling Cross-Shore wind
Surf conditions at 8.00 a.m. on Wednesday 20th November 2012:
Given the windswept conditions out there this morning, the surf is a lot smaller than I would have expected.
It's a mild (13 deg C at first light. But that wind tends to make it feel chillier than it is when you're out there!) but blowy morning, the wind howling in, a gale from the south sou' west again, strong enough to blow the sea's surface clean, strong enough to blow those waves over way to early. There's three to four feet of windswept and rolling surf, the sea very green looking, the whitewater an intense white this morning.
It has that stormy look to it all but without the raging seas that you might expect. Still, it's not the place for a quiet and relaxing one either this morning!
Let's have a little look over Trevose Head to Harlyn.......
The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing has been on hold again but that's okay, there's a few days left to get the event going so it is worth them waiting for the best conditions. So you know that when it does get back on track the action will rock. Follow it all at www.vanstriplecrownofsurfing.com
