Light Cross-Shore wind
Surf conditions at 7.45 a.m. on Thursday 3rd January 2013:
It's a mild one for January, a mizzly, drizzly, 'wrecker's' morning, straight off the pages of Daphne du Maurier.
The surf is three feet, probably bigger feeling when you're out there, quite sloppy and lazy looking, the wind having dropped a lot again but still steadily drifting from the south sou' west.
So it's certainly not great surf this morning but it is doable. I guess that it might look a little more attractive if the sky cleared, even just a little!? But I can't see that happening anytime soon.
And the worry is that high tide is in an hour or two, so this might very well be the surf at its best today.
After saying that it should still be worth a little look later.
HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE AND ALL!
