Surf conditions at 7.40 a.m. on Sunday 6th January 2013:
At least it's pretty looking around here this morning! Smaller than yesterday and smaller than hoped for but clean and snappy, in a lazy kind of way.
Harlyn is always a frustrating one, most waves lining up beautifully just before collapsing across the beach in a boom tingling close-out. There is always that odd one, that peeling surprise of a sometimes barrel but you usually have to take a few of those close outs first!
Anyway, it's one of those days with most waves just shutting down but with maybe one or two out of ten peeling dramatically. So, well worth a wet and half a dozen are already doing just that, even before proper daylight!
It should improve as the tide rises to a late morning high too!
