Light Cross-Shore wind
Surf conditions at 7.35 a.m. on Monday 7th January 2013:
The lightest of pink and the palest of blue are backgrounding the white dappled, pre-dawn sky, briefly promising a brighter and lighter day to come! That breeze is still from the south, sideshore to these breaks, frustratingly making for crumbly conditions.
Three feet of lazy surf is washing in, some waves peeling a little, others flopping about a bit. If that breeze was only a degree or two to the east, it would be a whole different scene! But it's not. Yet.
And so a mild and pleasant early January day awaits us with better surf than here somewhere, maybe Fistral, Watergate, Polzeath, somewhere that can handle the southerly wind better than here!
Or maybe even just over the headland?
Let's have a look.........
