Surf conditions at 7.25 a.m. on Wednesday 16th January 2013:
Ah, clean, clean waves at last!
It's a bit of an overcast one this morning with a grey sky, grey clouds, a grey sea, grey fields, grey everything but those little waves are throwing little streaks of brightness into an otherwise fairly dreary background.
The breeze is very, very light and offshore, just adding that calmess to those small but pleasantly peeling little waves.
It is just off full high tide right now and so it's difficult to tell exactly how it's going to be in a couple of hours. But right now there are one to two foot waves standing vertical off the back of the Reef before wrapping and peeling while a real small peak is slapping the shore further in.
I'm hoping that we'll be enjoying some knee to hip high gliders soon enough and that should pick up on this afternoon's still big tide. It might even double in size by darkness, maybe!
Speaking of longboards(!?), I'm having a clear out. If anyone wants a 9'1 Southpoint Bonga 2 model (Schaper) then I'm whazzing mine out at £325? It's pretty immaculate etc, etc. I'll get some piccies up sometime.
And we still have that used 9'4 Robert August wood veneer Surf Tech up on the ceiling. That's about £500. We also have a bunch of great new longboards too, by McTavish, Meyerhoffer and others.
I might do another POP UP SALE this weekend just to free up some more space so keep your eyes on the Facebook (Constantine Surf), Twitter (@constantinesurf) and here for more info!
