Surf conditions at 7.35 a.m. on Sunday 21st January 2013:
The first sub zero reading on the thermometer (only just at -1 deg c) welcomes us this morning as a gentle offshore breeze continues to lightly stroke that three foot swell.
It's a little smaller than yesterday but those glassy walls are still reeling in off the Reef, the back of the Point and with a little one over by the Slab. Yep it looks like another fun day of surfing ahead of us with the sunshine scheduled to put in appearance in an hour or two as well! Maybe?
And it's now that we turn our attention to which boards we are going to stock in the shop for the coming season!
Cheyne reckons anything twin-fin, short, wide thick and floaty.
But what about the power brands; Merricks, Lost, Chilli etc, but are they worth the money? And then there are our old favourites too; Sol-Life, Meyerhoffer, 7S, Webber etc..
What do you think?
You know the address (firstname.lastname@example.org) so go on, tell us about the board of your dreams!
